Turnkey Solutions for Heavy Metal Removal
from Industrial
Wastewater
MetFloc system for heavy-metal removal from wastewater.
Metal removal from industrial waste water requires more than chemicals and an understanding of the chemistries. It requires an integrated solution which combines the right chemicals and processes with piping, tanks, sensors, an automated process control control system,human-machine interface (HMI), and provisions for all-around safety.
By working with Genotech Controls & Engineering as its equipment and process control partner, MetFloc Chemicals Company can provide complete turnkey solutions for heavy metal removal, water recycling, zero discharge, and waste water processing. Genotech has been a one-stop shop for industrial waste treatment since 1987. It is a world-class, full-service, industrial fabricator, waste treatment manufacturer, and process system integrator.
Integrated MetFloc Systems for Heavy Metal Removal
MetFloc™ technology is available for efficient and cost-effective removal of ALL heavy metals. Even the presence of metal complex or interfering agents (such as ammonia, sulfates, soaps, etc.) will not reduce the effectiveness of this chemistry. In one pass, the MetFloc™ chemistry can remove heavy metals below compliance levels instantaneously and without a secondary pH adjustment. Sludge is reduced and is easy to dewater. This new technology provides one-step chrome removal and zinc removal, and can take very low metal content to ppb levels. Please see our lab reports.
MetFloc chemical formulations compete with common commodity solutions such as caustic soda, ferric chloride, ferrous sulfate, lime and acid additives for heavy metal waste treatment. These require multiple steps and generate large amounts of sludge with high labor costs and capital requirements. The MetFloc™ solution is much more cost effective. In addition, common metal grabbers and metal scavengers will not be as effective as MetFloc™ chemistries.
If you are exceeding your discharge limits for lead, zinc, copper, chrome, or other heavy metals, MetFloc Chemicals Company can provide a cost-effective, integrated solution regardless of the volume discharged. Using the latest MetFloc™ chemical technologies, our experienced engineers will design a complete system including controls, chemical usage, and sludge handling. Such a system can include redundant sensing, communications an monitoring, plus state-of-the art operator interface.
MetFloc Chemicals Company offers packaged, skid-mounted systems for smaller discharge volumes. These provide a safe, one-pass discharge for different types of wastewater, including recycled coolant water or recycled parts washing water. This design uses a bentonite clay compound that will encapsulate contaminants including emulsified oils into a sturdy clay floc that in many cases is non-hazardous. The system can include ozone treatment and polishing. It can be a continuous or batch process, automated or manual, with either bag filters or an indexed filter bed.
